Maykha and Maylikha Irrawaddy River in Myitkyina and the Chinese Government putting a dam for electricity .

Right in front of the Chinese Counselor office in Downtown Los Angels and conducting a : " Solo " protest over the Chinese Government interference in --- building a dam in my hometown of Myitkyina ( Kachin State / Burma ) at the begging of the Irrawaddy River ; where as at the time of the completion ; the Chinese will be able to send the electricity to Southern China : Yunnan Province and power their cities and for their industrial usage . The Local Kachin Ethnic People have pleaded with the Chinese President to withdraw their plan were being ignored and at this time ; more than 60 villages consisting of more than 100,00 people will be removed from the areas where the water from the dam will flooded and cover under the water . The Ethnic Local Kachin leaders were told and ask them to sign an agreement to relocate to the designated areas or will face with being arrested by the government authorities .
They were not being paid for their lands and forced to relocate to the designated areas as : it is the violation of the principles of human rights charter declarations . I strongly condemned the Chinese Government for their insensitivity and going after the natural resources of the local Kachin Ethnic People and the local people in the City of Myitkyina ---will not have the electricity from the generators that comes from the dam .
On the other hand with the dam being put in place-- the dangers of the dam , in the event break away --the whole town of Myitkyina will be in danger of flooded and there will be a lot of people dying from the flooding water . The dam itself is only about 27 miles from Myitkyina and there is very little chance that the townspeople will be able to escape from the oncoming flooded water . It will also destroy the natural settings of the fisheries and along the Irrawaddy River all the way to the Irrawaddy Delta region ; it cannot reverse the course--- if the dam is put into place .
In China ; they have their own problems of building so many of the dams and as a result of it ; the water from the surrounding areas were being seeped and saturated the grounds and there were so many landslides and flooding of so many villages and have to evacuate so many cities and millions of the people to higher grounds .
Burma does not want this kind of disasters ; that the Chinese will cause it if the dam is being built and finished . Because of their self reliance for the electricity ; the local people in Burma have to suffer so much at the hands of the ruthless Military Junta is totally unacceptable not only to the local people , but also from the view point of the human rights activist around the world .
Therefore : I condemned the Chinese Government and the Burmese Military Junta for their roles in violating of the rights of the local Kachin People and their right to stay and live around the Irrawaddy River were being taken away .
