    The City of Rosemead have seen a lot of changes in the 27 years ; since I resided in 1983 at the time . The city have dramatically awakened from the increased development from the neighboring cities ; Monterey Park , Alhambra & San Gabriel that have ran out of space and the increasing Asian Populations and the businesses moving into the Rosemead City areas .
    As the growth of the city and the developments have resulted in the increasing motorist ; avoiding some of the major streets , that have been under the surveillance of the Police Department patrol cars . With the increasing drivers using the Muscatel Avenue as an alternative routes to avoid being under the radar guns of the Sheriff Patrol Cars .
    More and more drivers are speeding on the surface streets as much as 50 to 60 miles an hour . I have attended numerous ; public safety meetings at the city hall and brought up the problems to the panels many times since May of last year 2009 . Only then, with the co-operation of the Public Works Director : Christ Marcarello , and his interventions , Muscatel Avenue and other neighboring streets have the speed limits signs posted on the surfaces ; along with the Logos on the streets that is clearly visible on both sides of the streets . Still , the motorist are ignoring the posted limit signs of 25 miles per hour ; they were driving recklessly at the speed of as much as ; in some cases 55- to 60 miles /hour ; as if the speeding drivers are using the surface streets as if it is a " Race Tracks of the Irwindale and the other one in Ontario : the Ontario Race tracks and ignoring the warning signs . The workforce of the Public Safety Center has two motor cycle patrol Officers and four motor vehicle cruisers and it is not enough to cover the 5.5 miles square areas of the city .
    As all of us ; at one time swearing in as the Citizens of the United States at some point in our lives and agreed to follow all the rules that is set forth by the Government Agencies . It is sadly to see ---the motorist who uses the Muscatel Avenue and other neighboring streets as the police patrol cars were not able to respond to the situations and took advantage of it .
    With this article and the comment of my opinion on the situations of the city surfaces throughout the entire City ; I am pleading to all the motorist ; please use common sense and the safety of the people on the neighboring streets and the pedestrians who were using the city surfaces for their safety ; before a lot of peple will end up being killed .
